New Year, New Privacy Wins

Happy New Year everyone!
As we step into 2025, I just want to thank all of you. Over the past year, I’ve seen a surge of interest in privacy, and it feels like we’re part of a once-in-a-lifetime cultural shift. The momentum we’re building has the potential to make a real difference in reclaiming our digital lives.
Privacy isn’t just about what we keep hidden – it’s about what we choose to share and the freedom to decide. It’s been so exciting to see more and more people embracing their right to choose, and understanding that it’s ok to want to protect their data.
Last year, we launched the Ludlow Institute, dedicated to advancing freedom through technology. We want to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge to harness the empowering potential of modern innovation, and ensure that privacy, individual autonomy, and human dignity extend to the digital landscape.
To everyone who became a founding member or reached out with supportive words: thank you. Your enthusiasm and dedication make me so optimistic about the year ahead and our ability to drive real change together.
We have some new online community channels set up for those of you who would like to share privacy tips, ask questions, or just know that you’re not alone when it comes to wanting to protect your data. A growing community is waking up to the importance of privacy, and I know that by joining forces, we can make an even bigger impact.
If you have privacy resources or communities you love, please share them in the comments. Let’s work together to amplify the movement and help each other.
This year, let’s keep the momentum going. Whether it’s switching to privacy-friendly apps or pushing for bold initiatives, every action counts. Together, we’re creating a world where privacy isn’t weird or a luxury – it’s normal.
What’s Ahead in 2025:
Exciting Events: In-person workshops and live Q&A sessions to give everyone practical tools and knowledge.
Community Spaces: We’ve launched new groups on Signal, SimpleX, and Matrix to create spaces for sharing ideas and asking questions.
Courses: A beginner’s introduction to privacy course is coming soon! All of the information will also be available for free through our videos, but for those of who who want extra guidance for where to start, or troubleshooting help, this will hopefully be a good resource. Stay tuned for more details.
Let’s make 2025 the year privacy takes center stage. This isn’t just about protecting what’s ours – it’s about building a freer, more secure future for everyone.
